ATLANTA, June 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Aaron Rents, Inc. (NYSE: RNT),
the nation's leader in the rental, sales and lease ownership, and specialty
retailing of residential and office furniture, consumer electronics and home
appliances and accessories, today announced that Kevin J. Hrvatin has been
promoted to Vice President, Western Operations, Aaron's Sales & Lease
Ownership Division. The Western Operations is a newly created region, the
result of the Company's rapid expansion. Mr. Hrvatin will be responsible for
overseeing the operations of 53 stores located in Southern California,
Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, El Paso, Texas, Colorado and Kansas. The current
Western Operations will be renamed Southwestern Operations and David L. Buck
will continue as Vice President over this region.

Mr. Hrvatin joined the Company in 1993 as a Store Manager in Jacksonville,
Florida and was promoted to District Manager in Jacksonville the following
year. After six years as District Manager he was promoted to Regional Manager
overseeing stores in the northeastern and southeastern states. Kevin is a
native of Seattle, Washington and is married with three children. He has a
B.A. degree in Business Administration from Central Washington State
University.
